Family Fun Family Fun Guide Family fun: An event that all the family can enjoy. They are either site based activity sessions or short walks.
Easy Walk Easy Walk Guide Easy walk: This is a walk up to 3 miles long on fairly level tracks.
Mid Level Walk Mid Level Walk Guide Mid level walk: This walk is up to 5 miles long and could be on rough/steep ground.
Mountain and/or Day Walk Mountain and/or Day Walk Guide Mountain and/or day walk: This walk is strenuous and/or long and often in high mountain areas. You should be physically fit and have some experience of hill walking. Mountain boots, warm and windproof clothing and plenty of food and drink are essential. Any participants arriving without suitable clothing may not be permitted on the walk for their own safety.

Important Information

  • Cost of events are detailed under individual entries (A = adult, C =children).
  • All walks are led by experienced countryside staff who will be happy to answer your questions.
  • All children (under 18's for Mar Lodge) must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please remember that Scotland's weather is unreliable at best! We suggest bringing a warm layer and/or waterproof shell and suitable footwear.
  • Where booking is advised, please phone the relevant number, unless otherwise directed in the text.
  • Well controlled dogs are welcome on all walks unless otherwise stated.
  • Participants with special needs such as visual impairment or wheelchair use should contact the provider in advance to check the suitability of the activity.
