Land Management Support

Supporting land managers to deliver the aims and priorities of the National Park through their work, is a key element in delivering the Cairngorms National Park Plan. Much of this support is delivered through partner agencies including Forestry Commission Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Scottish Government.

The Cairngorms National Park Authority delivers support to land managers in a variety of ways by:

  • Organising, facilitating and funding a range of training courses aimed at helping land managers to deliver the aims of the National Park;

  • Employing staff or contracting other specialists to provide advice through visits, surveys, reports and in certain circumstances, applications for funding;

  • Producing and distributing advisory materials, such as reports, technical sheets, leaflets and web pages;

  • Organising or participating in demonstration events, seminars and workshops, including the Cairngorms Farmers Forum, to help share and promote good practice.
