Draft Cairngorms National Park Plan 2012 - 2017
The consultation on the Draft Cairngorms National Park Plan has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part by sending in comments, or attending a community meeting (read the community meeting feedback). Your comments will now be considered and will help us to prepare the final Cairngorms National Park Plan 2012-2017, which will be submitted to Scottish Ministers for approval in 2012.
A summary of the numbers of responses received and issues arising was presented to the CNPA board on 20 January 2012.
The comments will be analysed in detail by an independent contractor and a detailed report of the analysis will be presented to the CNPA board, and published on our website, on 16 March 2012.
The current Cairngorms National Park Plan runs between 2007 and 2012. It is reviewed every five years to ensure that it adapts to changes and different priorities. The first review takes place between 2010 and 2012. During 2010/11, the CNPA co-ordinated engagement with key partners and communities to help identify what the National Park Plan should tackle beyond 2012. This informed the draft National Park Plan, which was consulted on between 19 September and 9 December 2011. The CNPA will use the consultation comments to make necessary changes before submitting the Plan to Scottish Ministers for approval in 2012. Click to see the full timetable for this process.
