The Spey and Dee are two of the finest salmon and sea trout rivers in Scotland, if not the world.

Whilst there are some expensive beats along the rivers, there are opportunities for fishing on a budget including expensive permits for high quality brown trout fishing on the rivers and a good choice of loch fishing and stocked fisheries.

Managing fishing interests, other recreational pursuits and nature conservation is a challenging job. The Spey and the Dee both have organisations set up to manage them effectively in conjunction with these other interests.
