Responsible for advising the Board and staff, developing and implementing policy on effective community involvement, general business and economic development issues, tourism and cultural heritage. Specific areas of work within this broad remit will evolve and change over time, but are likely to include housing, tourism, youth policy, and a social inclusion strategy.
